Shawn Neumann

President & Founder

Shawn Neumann is an entrepreneur, a nationally recognized speaker, and a British Columbia tech leader. After obtaining a degree in economics and history from Simon Fraser University, Shawn founded Domain7 as a home-based business in 1996. After dodging the dot.com crash in 2000 by finding niche ways to help online companies with their unique problems and challenges, the business leader grew Domain7 into what it is today – an international web agency that provides a complete range of web solutions and services for its clients.

As president, Shawn understands and respects that no two companies are the same so encourages his staff at Domain7 to approach every client and project through both the lenses of tactical website execution, and strategy.

With Canadian offices in Vancouver and Abbotsford, and an office in Washington DC., Domain7 has worked with clients such as MTV, Contiki Travel, Jubilee Travel, Envision Financial, Anna & Kristina (The Shopping Bags), Eagle West Cranes, Arconas, and not-for-profits like Union Gospel Mission (UGM), the YMCA, the United Way, and Run for Water.

The company's success and business model has garnered Shawn attention. In 2007 he earned a Business in Vancouver “40 under 40 award”, and in 2008 and 2009 the web agency, the largest of its kind in the Fraser Valley, was listed in Business in Vancouver Magazine as being one of BC's fastest growing companies.

With over 14 years experience Shawn's insights, real world examples, and unique perspectives on solving web challenges make him a timely, and engaging speaker. An expert in strategy, governance, web solutions, programming, and online marketing, Shawn is frequently called upon to speak on topics such as organizational structures that support online success, shifts in online marketing, website strategies, and finding the perfect content management system for on-line businesses.

Corporate social responsibility is close to Shawn's heart and is a natural extension of Domain7. The company reaches into the community helping not-for-profit companies with preferential pricing, discounts, and work share opportunities. Shawn also contributes his expertise and business know-how as Foundation Director at the University of the Fraser Valley, a Board Member of First West Credit Union (a division of Envision), and Director at Envision Credit Union where he partners with the lender to encourage educational literacy programs in elementary schools.

At present Shawn balances his time between speaking engagements, inventing new ways of doing business at Domain7, and a busy home life with his wife Kelly and their two daughters.
