Credit Unions of BC

Central 1 moves toward a decidedly west-coast feel, encouraging big-bank users to make the switch to a credit union.

The Project

Central 1 is the “credit union to the credit unions” in British Columbia and Ontario. This umbrella organization represents financial outlets that serve almost 3 million members! They have the task of promoting credit unions throughout BC, and encouraging British Columbians to make the switch from big banks.

They needed a website for their BC institutions that would showcase all the benefits of credit unions and walk users through the process of making the switch. Because the site is exclusively for BC credit unions, the site had to feel rooted on the west coast.

We used cinematic imagery as the backdrop to a single-page site that leads visitors through compelling facts about the benefits of credit unions. Finally it invites them to make the switch, with an easy form to streamline the process. The site is super versatile—just by switching up the imagery, it can be repurposed for Central 1’s Ontario credit unions.

We also added a handy credit union finder to make the switch that much easier.
